Episode 1
Broken-hearted Parrish receives help from his friends Blue and Dani when they set him up on 12 blind dates to heal his heart.
Looking to meet someone special?  If so, you should be aware that while meeting through mutual friends is still number one, online dating is now the second most common way to meet a mate. The numbers don't lie. Eharmony.com has 20 million registered users. Match.com signs on 20k new members a day, and Black People Meet boasts over 1.2 million members.  There are a lot of folks looking for love, so here are a few basic tips to creating a dating profile that will get you noticed.

The first thing you need to understand is that successful online dating requires serious work, and a much of that effort takes place before you give or receive your first wink.  So before you get down to the nitty gritty of creating your online profile, you need to do some personal soul searching.
1. Know what you want: And this means more than just "to find a date". Having a good handle on what you ultimately want when it comes to type of relationship (companionship vs. marriage), age, race, sexual orientation, kids or not, etc. will not only help you find the right dating site, but also make your dating profile specific to your needs.
2. Know your must haves and your deal breakers.  Know the things you can't do without (must love cats) and the things you will not tolerate. Articulating these things in the beginning will save a lot of disappointment later.
3. Know what makes you unique. What are your passions and interests?  Your love of classic Hitchcock films might not float everybody's boat, but it just might be the thingthat makes someone special take notice.
4. Pick the right site. Even the best profile and photo will not do its job if it is posted on the wrong site.  Knowing who and what you want in a relationship will help you choosethe right dating site for you, so your homework and research the sites that will best meet your needs.

Now that you're clear on your own needs, here are a few Do's and Don'ts to put together your profile.
1. Picture.  Profiles with pictures get many more responses than those without. Do include a headshot and full body photo. Do make sure it's current and correct and reveals who you are now.  Do smile!  You want to look as friendly and approachable as possible.
2. Username. Don't be another corny "Sexygirl4U" or "StudlyDudly".  Do pick a name that is clever and says something unique about you.
3. Headline.  Your headline should draw potential suitors in, not repel them. Don't try to be clever, just be you. Without revealing too much personal information, Do give a hint of who you are and what you want.
4. Profile.  This is your calling card so make sure it's well thought out. Do keep it short, honest and positive.
                                                                                           Happy dating!
